Maker Spotlight: Boléro Eyewear - Honest Prices, Real Quality

Boléro Eyewear's roots go back to 1972, when it started life as a family-owned Canadian eyewear distributor supplying independent retailers. In 2025, the brand was relaunched under new ownership with a simple, pointed mission: great eyewear shouldn't cost as much as a weekend getaway.

The idea came from personal frustration. After scratching an expensive pair of sunglasses and replacing them with a budget pair that felt nearly identical in quality, Boléro's new owner went digging and found that much of the eyewear industry runs through the same handful of factories, whether the logo says luxury or not. That discovery led to acquiring Boléro and rebuilding it around metal-core frames, spring hinges, and genuine polarized lenses, priced without the inflated designer markup.

Today Boléro makes sunglasses, reading glasses, and sun readers for women, men, and kids, all backed by a warranty and built for real everyday wear.
