Become a Maker

Moonrise Boutique is built on the work of makers. From hand-painted earrings to small-batch candles, upcycled fashion and natural body care, the pieces on our shelves are what make the shop feel like Moonrise. If you create something special, we’d love to hear from you.

How our consignment program works

A 60/40 split in your favour

Every item sells on consignment, and you keep 60% of each sale. Moonrise keeps 40%, which covers shelf space, staff, our online store, marketing and the work of telling your story to customers.

Sold in-store and online

Your pieces are displayed in our downtown Castlegar boutique and can also be listed on our online store, so you reach both local shoppers and customers across Canada.

Your own maker login

Every maker gets access to our online consignment portal. Log in anytime to see:

  • Which of your items have sold
  • What’s still in stock
  • How much you’re owed

No chasing us for updates. Your sales are always there when you want to check in.

Paid by e-transfer

Payouts are sent by Interac e-Transfer, so your earnings land straight in your bank account.

What we look for

  • Handmade, small-batch or thoughtfully made goods
  • Local, West Kootenay, BC and Canadian makers
  • Jewelry, accessories, clothing, art, home goods, candles, bath and body, and treats
  • Pieces that fit our mix of vintage, thrift and locally made style

How to apply

Send us an email at moonriseboutiqueco@gmail.com with:

  • Your name and business name
  • Where you’re based
  • A short description of what you make
  • A few photos of your work, plus your Instagram or website if you have one
  • Your typical retail prices
